This section is going to take a while to put together, as i have tons of photos and reports from the trips i've been on. I'll be adding things one at a time, when i get free moments to stick photos in and paste reports. I'll note it in the news box on the front page when i make additions.

Travels: Cons, Minicons & Set Visits

Although i've been to three Wolf conventions (all stargate), my interest lies less with meeting the actors and more with meeting my friends and fellow fans. To that end, i've also been part of two miniwhumpacons, organised for the JackFic bunch. If i've written reports for the cons and minicons, you can find there here, along with any photos. You can also find my detailed report, and some select photos from my work experience on the Stargate set (trust me, i earnt it).
I'll also put info on other fandom trips here, anything to do actors or characters i love, and friends from the net.

2002 -SG3 Blackpool
My first ever convention, i went with Ruth (a fellow fan) to this one, and was horribly ill the whole time. A killer cold bug meant i was miserable, and gale force winds meant Blackpool was not only cheesey and ugly, but inhospitable too. A half-hour train ride to the convention base each day made matters worse, and the winds got so bad they actually cracked the glass panes on the outside of the venue. Still, it was an amazing experience, and i didn't get any photos! Grr!

2003 - Stargate Set Vancouver
It's hard to summarise something that seems so utterly... amazing as this. It's one of those things in my life i am so grateful for, something i really hold dear. I spent nine months of my life working my ass off, sweating it out, being wracked with nerves to get to do this. By god i earnt the chance, and it felt ten times better for knowing that. I've written a details report and recounting of the trip, and soon you can read it and see photos here.

2003 - Miniwhumpacon Holland
Corine volunteered her house for our first con of this kind (fool that she is :P), and i organised a zine for the occasion. That was really fun, although the printing went on forever, and it was a heavy thing to lug in my bags onto the place! Everyone signed each other's, which is great because i still have mine to remind me. We spent two days watching RDA films and tv, enthusing over whumping, seeing the sights and getting to know each other. It was awesome. Photos coming soon.

2003 - SG5 London
Officially remembered as the one where me and WOnky started a craze for 'mad group photos' with the stars. Photos and guest-star talk transcriptions coming soon.

2005 - SG6 London
I don't remember much about this one now apart from the fact that i got everyone to sign my fantastic knee-high red space boots, Paul McGillion called me crazy, and i tended to be dragged out of bed early by WOnky and wear my red bobble-hat so low down over my face that i could almost deceive myself into thinking i was still asleep. Oh, and i remember WOnky texting me from the party to tell me who was making fools of themselves, while i sat in my jammies and watched a random french film. :P Photos coming soon.

2005/2006 - Miniwhumpacon Ruka
A simply fantastic con with an established set of stargate whumping friends, in the beautiful skiing resort of Ruka, in Lapland! My first experience of skiing (or even snow deeper than an inch), dog sleighing, ski-mobiling and great company made this such a memorable trip. Photos and a full report here.

2006 - 'Don Carlos' Play London
I headed up to London alone for this one, to see Richard Coyle (he of the delicious curly hair) act in this traditional play. I hate London, but it was worth the return trip, which i managed to make all in one day. Photos and a brief report coming soon.

2006 - 'The Postman Always Rings Twice' Play London
Aka 'the one where we got bombed'. I went up to see this play starring the gorgeous Val Kilmer with my friend from LiveJournal; Clarissa. We timed it perfectly with the London bombings, but managed to see the play the night before, and luckily Val Kilmer was not using the tube the next morning. I prefer him in one piece (unlike his characters, who i prefer char-broiled and lightly tenderised. mmm.) Photos and a brief report coming soon.

2007 - Belize!
In March, i set out on an exotic ten-day kayaking adventure in the Caribbean! It was expensive, amazing, incredibly educational and something of a trial. Very glad to be through it, but no less happy to have done it. Photos and some descriptions coming soon.

2007 - Miniwhumpacon...?
There are echoes about of some planning in mind, some of us hoping to get together again in 2007. All i know is, it'd better be a damn cheap locale, because i can hardly afford me dinner at the moment. :P
